As a result of our continued growth we are looking for safety-minded and talented Project Engineer to help meet the growing needs of our clients.  This position is full time, benefit eligible and the wage is negotiable depending on experience.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preconstruction activities as needed, including project takeoff, organization of site facilities and preliminary schedules
  • Responsible for coordination of all project documents for the Field Superintendent in a timely and organized manner
  • Coordinate and distribute all updates and changes to plans and specification
  • Assist Field Superintendent, Project Manager and Safety Director to ensure all safety requirements are followed and documented
  • Ensure correct set up, organization and maintenance of project filing system
  • Prepares project schedules under direction of Project Manager and Field super intendent.
  • Responsible for submittals process and the request for information (RFI) process
  • Prepares meeting minutes for site coordination meetings
  • Assist Field Superintendent with daily project logs and reports
  • Takes weekly job site photographs
  • Maintains as-built drawings
  • Assist in project close out activities

Education and Experience:

B.S. Construction Management, Engineering, or technical education plus 3 years comparable construction experience and training, or the combination of education and experience to meet essential qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License and evidence of insurability required
  • Strong understanding of Journey safety policies and practices
  • Proficient time management and organizational planning skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking
  • Proficient with electronic information, spreadsheets and scheduling software
  • Diplomacy in working with other people
  • Promotes Journey Construction
